Bio:

Annie Vought (b. 1977) is an artist based in Oakland California. Her work is an elaborate investigation into the visual architecture of language and the limits of the paper. She has a far-reaching presence on the web and has exhibited extensively. In 2009 Annie received her MFA from Mills College. She is the recipient of the Irvine Fellowship Award, the Herringer Family Foundation Award, the Murphy and Candogen Award and a 2012 SECA nominee. Annie was raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She grew up surrounded by the arts. Her father is a painter and her mother and stepfather are musicians. She now lives in Oakland with her husband and large dog. She is an avid reader and probably watches too much TV.
